Shaker Cabinets Plans

You can find many shaker cabinets plans that include variations on a number of cabinet styles. Shaker cabinets are the modernist versions of the shaker cabinet first introduced in the late eighteenth century.

The first cabinet that was labeled as shaker, was actually a cabinet that was originally referred to as a boat cabinet. This cabinet was a cabinet with an arch in the center of it.

Most shaker cabinets today will include a sliding door so that you can access the contents of the cabinet without having to climb through the doors on the bench that the cabinet sits on.

Another very popular use for the shaker style of cabinet is a breakfast bar cabinet. Most people use this cabinet to store items that are used for the breakfast in the morning.

This style of cabinet has a piece of cabinetry that is pulled out and used as a cupboard or as a breakfast nook for a coffee maker. Many people do not need this style of cabinet because they have other types of cabinets for just about every day of the week.

You can also find many variations of shaker cabinets that look very similar to the models that are sold today. The cabinets are made of just about any type of wood that you can imagine and the styles are endless.

A very popular type of shaker cabinet is the antique styled cabinet. The cabinet designs were first made popular by George Washington Irving when he wrote his story "The History of Whitehall" which was based on Washington's time in office.

Cabins were used in homes and government buildings until the 1950s. While most of the old cabins are lost, there are still many left to be found in public places like antique shops and flea markets.
