They'll make your life easier when you have cleaning duties, but when you need to prepare meals, a simple pull out drawer will give you the convenience you need.

You can take this design idea and run with it in your home. You may have a dining room, a breakfast nook, or both. Put your island where you will need it most, but keep your dishes on the counter to make sure they're clean.
