Another interesting idea is to think about a color match between the walls and your furniture. This works well if you have lots of contemporary decor and you want your room to look modern, because the white walls and black boards will compliment the furniture's new colors and styles.

Another interesting addition to the modern kitchen is using colors other than white, and that is not only possible but also very popular in some cases. For example, some homeowners choose to redecorate their kitchen by painting the walls yellow or perhaps even green.

In order to bring this style into your kitchen, you would usually need to create new white walls. However, if you wish to give your white walls a whole new look, you could also change them to a more earthy shade, such as grey, or possibly, even try a slightly lighter green.
