Kitchen Drawers Won't Stay Closed
Kitchen drawers won't stay closed. I'm sure you have experienced this problem at one time or another. While most of us do our best to keep the drawers in our cabinets open, others just can't seem to keep them open.
This is a natural reaction to have and it is a perfectly normal reaction. That's why I want to get your attention right now. I'm going to show you what is happening inside those drawers.
You should notice that as you try to force the drawer open, it never seems to budge. Why is that? In order to understand that question, we need to go back and cover some ground.
At some point, you have probably checked your house's electrical system and found it in good working order. Your house's electrical system will have a main power source that is located somewhere in the attic. If you notice, the attic is filled with electrical wires that run throughout the house.
Insulation is very important in your home. It helps to keep heat in, cold air out, and to protect your electronics from the elements. It is important that the insulation you choose is high quality and appropriate for the current climate and needs of your home.
If you live in an area where there is a lot of snow, then you need to make sure that your house has insulation in the attic. Otherwise, the snow and ice from your gutters may cause all the insulation to melt and expose your wiring to the elements. In short, you could get into serious trouble if you don't protect your house's wiring with good insulation.
You probably notice that there is an attic vent that leads from the roof to the attic. It doesn't matter if the vent is blocked or if it is blocked by insulation, because it can still blow hot air. We often forget that such things are even in our homes, much less what they are made of.
This is the wrong vent that causes heating problems. The hot air from your furnace travels through this same vent. Now, the air that comes through the wrong vent goes directly into the bathroom, kitchen, and freezer, just to name a few.
A proper, effective, and accurate "vent" should be able to bring air to its intended destination, but when a proper and accurate vent is not present, then you need to correct that problem. Because, that's what's happening. The insulation is melting.
Now, you need to take action. You need to find a way to seal that wall. This is a big wall, and you want to make sure that you seal it well so that it will keep your house insulated and properly protected, which is what you need to do for your house.
It doesn't matter if you have an attic or not, that blockage is blocking the flow of free air and preventing heat from entering your home. We need to seal the right place. Otherwise, the problem is likely to get worse.
As a side note, if you are in the process of installing insulation for your house, you want to know that your attic vent is going to be the culprit. Make sure that you seal it correctly and that you stay on top of the job.
