Kitchen Cabinets Doors Refacing

The first thing you need to do is take off the lids on your doors. Next, turn them upside down and test each hinge to see which one works. Now, place each hinge so that it is touching the wall and turn the door to the other side.

With each hinge, gently remove the hinge pins and then replace them with new ones. Do not over tighten the hinges or they will stop working once they are locked into place.

You also need to remove the locks from the hinges on each door. Use a small screwdriver to pry out the lock tab. Be careful that you do not put too much pressure on the hinges; this can permanently damage them.

Carefully pull the door out of the hinges and put the new, better-fitting door in place. It is best to get it lined up before you begin the refacing process. For most cabinets, you can just drill a pilot hole and use a screw to attach the new door to the hinge.

To install the new hinge, begin by attaching the door to the cabinet. Once you have done this, go back to the cabinet's wall and drill a pilot hole again. Attach the new door and give it a test run.

If there is anything that the cabinet did not include, such as instructions, then you should purchase these separately. If you were to do the refacing yourself, make sure you have the proper tools and know how to install them. If you are installing the cabinet yourself, be sure to follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the kitchen cabinets.
